i am not vocal enough in the face of oppression
not silent enough about my accomplishments
i am not waiting for a sign from you
even so i can not forget our story
i am not perplexed
but no answers i have
i am not on a destination
still, i am not lost
i am not bound
nor yet am i free
i have not experienced the oneness
though i have never known any other
~~~~~
Rather than trying to find out who I am
I must try to decipher what I am not
What will remain
That I am
[In response to Reena’s Xploration Challenge #318] What I am not…
~~~~~
My deepest prayers always with the people and lands of Palestine, Sudan, Congo and everywhere there is oppression, injustice and corruption. Truly heartbreaking and disappointing that our “chosen” leaders have instead chosen to blatantly disrespect the will and voice of the people.
Dear Sonya,
This is a beautiful presentation of a kind of neti neti. We have often found that this kind of inquiry leads to new, pathless horizons.
All good wishes,

i like the lines
I am not on a destination
Yet, I’m not lost.
And the last 4 lines are pure wisdom.

Thanks Reena, and for your awesome prompt. The last 4 lines were from a mch older poem, which was also titled “what I am not”
