I wonder how we would
see the stars ~ count the nights
anticipate the elusive crescent
if the moon had her own light
would the owl be as wise
if the moon had her own light
and the wolf be able to howl
each and every night?
if the moon had her own light
would she be as coy and demure
nightfall drenched with warmth
and where in the world
would lovers hide?
Lovely romantic poem! We surely cannot have a situation where true lovers are unable to find a place to hide ;-)

Dear Sonya,
Thank you for enabling the light to flow through you, into meaning, through words.
All good wishes,

It was inspired by the prompt ‘own light’ and I have a soft spot for the moon. So I just put them together.
