i will leave heaven in an instant
just to hear you recite poetry for me
i will leave heaven in an instant
for the scent of an incense stick in my memory
i will leave heaven in an instant
if the borders were erased
and we could meet
beyond their barbed wires
on a land that belongs to no man
without forbidding cold stares
traditions that denied us
yet we existed,
for a while
i will leave heaven in an instant
if only you asked me to
but,
you don’t even remember my name
Ohhhh, yeah, your killing me with your truth. Nice one.

Dear Sonya,
Thank you for sharing this poem with us. It’s fortunate that heaven belongs to no man and, perhaps, it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.
All good wishes,
robert

Oh yes indeed we may be in for a rude shock to realise heaven was with us all along.

Beautifully said… what’s heaven… but courage of conviction.
But… heaven is… your poetry
