Illumination

within the ambit
of space and time
i searched, and searched
for the pulse of the universe

a starlit way
teasingly,
led me astray

when, in a moment of illumination
i had a glimpse of infinity
and infinity, she looked back at me,
a knowing smile

it was then, that i realised
i was led away,
i was led away
beyond the ambit
of space and time
