this pandemic has made me realise
how truly interconnected we all are
what we “couldn’t do” before, we now can do
what we “must do” before, now we don’t need to
so let’s look out for each other
be flexible, adaptable to the change around us
we shall emerge healthier, more compassionate and open minded
we all may not be able to control what is happening around us…
…but let us control how we respond to it
***
bow like the willow tree
if only for that which seeks to crush
shall veritably miss me
verse inspired by my all time favorite quote:
If you hear words that hurt you
then bow yourself before them
and they will miss you
~Imam Ali
***
my wish for you and yours
to stay healthy and happy
***
on a parting note
Nature is truly a Mother
we refused to obey her
and now we are all grounded (literally)
typical mum response :))

Stay safe!

And yes… I have a sense that like a lioness swatting her cubs, Mother Nature is telling us she has had enough.

Yes indeed, we can all feel the swat! Despite the seriousness of our situation, some are still not heeding the warn. And like an entire classroom that faces detention for the misbehaviour of a few, we will all need to bear the consequences.

Well written👏👏 We truely have been forced to be ‘down to earth’ and respect Mother Nature and be grateful for the blessings in our life.
“Humans finally lowered their proud head and begun to think quietly: Are we still the king of the earth? *Mankind finally felt the power of Nature once again*
In the face of the threat of death, human beings have only begun to reflect seriously, only to realize that a lack of awe-inspiring social atmosphere will lead to more harm and more risks.”

Dear Sonya,
Thank you very much for this. This may now be my all-time favorite post of yours :).
How wonderful you’ve expressed our oneness, our co-vulnerability, or need to embrace each other (though we’ll wait for the physical embrace until post-COVID :)).
All good wishes,

I agree with you, Sonya. It’s a test of nature, we must bond together, so we can achieve victory. We must believe it’s not east or west, but the whole world is responsible to find a cure for this serious disease. Someone said, “United we stand, divided we fall.”

Absolutely Ranu. This is the one time we are all in the same situation. And we need to take personal responsibility for it.
