savour each breath

breath

savour each breath
but for how long?

and how much?

not one breath more
can you hold
nor
for a moment longer

for to receive
surely you must give

true is the wealth
that you never accumulate

savour
each
breath

(linking breath to wealth to greed to corruption)

  1. Dear Sonya,

Thank you for this beautiful poem.

We’d surely explode if we hold in breath too long, just as virtue evaporates when displaced by greed.

What a precious gift it is to be breathed by the One.

    All good wishes,

    robert
