I was recently introduced to the word Mellifluous and was immediately attracted to it. All I could think of was the current raag I was practising. Shivaranjani means that which is pleasing to Shiva. This Raag gathers strength from sadness. It has a beautiful healing property through sadness, the release of tears and suppressed emotions. Playing Shivaranjani, I experienced mellifluous moments.
will you annihilate the salt from my tears
so that i shed only sweet drops in your name?

Lovely raag… and your renditions are growing in confidence… and I pray that the momentum continues to grow!

Thank you so much! It feels good to be encouraged and to have an audience. Been putting in quite a bit of work (as time permits) but out of sheer enjoyment :)

Dear Sonya,
Thank you for this. What a lovely post. It speaks to us of the Satisfaction of the Divine by which we may recognize the Author of all tears and sweetness.
All good wishes,

Of course annihilate the salt, sugar is better, although too much is not so good for health!

True Ranu, but if I am going to shed tears, may as well make them sweet! :)
