Having one or two unfulfilled dreams myself, due to not having been able to challenge the “senselessness” of it all, every word in the verse has so much meaning to me that they feel like my very own. Thank you very much for the tears… what if, indeed…

Thank you so much for your heartfelt response. I’m not sure if I should be happy I made you cry…
“But a mermaid has no tears, and therefore she suffers so much more.”

I think it’s a release to have a good cry now and then :)
I leave you these words to ponder over:
“Your inhibitions are in vain
No one to mock you, nor any to inspire
Except yourself…”

It’s too bad when the sun sets without fulfilling the dreams.I wonder who thought the dreams are senseless.

There are many who kill dreams, including our own selves. Many times we fear to follow our dreams because they don’t conform to the norm.
Or that we are afraid of failing.

Dear Sonya,
Thank you very much for this poem. I like it a lot. To me, this speaks to *possibility*, so often said to be senseless. Without it, though, from where would sanity grow?
All good wishes,

Wonderful thoughts Robert. Sanity grows from possibilities, I love that.
