It is after all a saying of Hazrat Ali that “contentment is an incomparable treasure”… So much wisdom, so few words :-)

Thank you Ayaz. I have to admit though, that I didn’t quite understand what I was writing till much later… yet I kept writing. So this was a strange poem for me.

Greetings.
Thank you for this!
Accepting (without unnecessary fuss) what comes, be it so-called good or so-called bad, is said to be an example of equanimity. This poem brings this to mind.
All good wishes,

acceptance is difficult to practice, but once you can master it, life is so much lighter.

I like it about acceptance, resist, change. Does it mean no matter what you do things will not go your way?
What do you think, Sonya ,am I on the right track?

Hi Ranu,
There are some situations in life that we can change, and those we must strive to change.
Others we cannot, no matter how much we change them, they remain the same. If we resist, they will persist. So let us accept them. We will be better able to control them, if not change.
To be honest, I didn’t even realise what this poem was about till much later. Can’t really explain how it all formed. But I am glad it did :-)
